Join us for the Association of Biblical Counselors’ 2017 National Conference, happening April 27-29 at Irving Bible Church in DFW!
As believers in Jesus Christ, we are all Called to Counsel. We live in a fractured world full of broken and hurting people like ourselves who struggle with all sorts of issues day in and day out. We desperately need the hope of the gospel.
In 2016, over 600 attendees gathered over the course of three days to be reminded of the beautiful, gospel-founded truth that we are all Called To Counsel. In 2017, we are planning for 800+ from around the United States and some international countries for our Pre-Conference Workshops and Plenary Sessions. We’d love for you to consider joining us.
Our Pre-Conference Workshops, happening Thursday April 27th, will consist of gifted pastors, counselors, and colleagues in the field of Biblical counseling offering us training in practical soul care. Speakers include Eric Johnson, Mike Sharrett, Greg Cook, Margaret Ashmore and more covering helpful and very real topics like working with a person’s story in Christian Counseling, the implications of misplaced identity, recognizing and responding to domestic abuse in the Church, complex post traumatic stress disorder and more. Continuing Education Units will be offered.
Our Plenary Sessions, happening Friday and Saturday, April 28-29th, will consist of equally gifted pastors, professional counselors and Biblical counseling colleagues including John Henderson, Jeremy Lelek, Joni Eareckson Tada, Winston Smith, Tim Challies and more leading us as we journey together through 8 Plenary Sessions over 2 full, resourceful days.
From professionals seeking a deeper specialization in applying the Bible in their practice, to pastors seeking to connect their theological understanding with their role as shepherd and counselor, or lay leaders longing to fulfill their call to “make disciples,” our annual gathering of provides an opportunity for Believers to rest, connect and learn.
