Ways to Become Certified with ABC

The Association of Biblical Counselors (ABC) offers multiple pathways to certification, allowing you to pursue training in a format that best fits your schedule, location, and learning preferences.

Training Churches and Training Centers (Non-Church)

ABC partners with a growing network of Training Churches and Centers across the United States and Internationally to provide in-person or virtual training and certification.

At a Training Church or Center, you will:

  • Participate in structured, guided instruction
  • Receive personalized feedback and grading
  • Complete all requirements for ABC certification directly through the center

If you prefer a classroom or group-learning environment, we encourage you to contact a Training Center near you to learn about upcoming opportunities to begin ABC1 certification.

ABC Cohorts

ABC Cohorts are designed to support students who are enrolled in the online certification program.  Gather with a group from your church and meet together!

In a cohort, you will:

  • Receive mentoring and encouragement by being together
  • Engage in discussion and guided learning
  • Access additional resources and support as needed from ABC

While cohorts provide valuable community and guidance, all grading and certification are completed directly through ABC.
