How does one biblically address the complex issues related to psychology and psychiatry? Issues that have risen in prominence within our culture such as homosexuality, mental illness, psychotropic medication, and the myriad of diagnoses presented to us in the American Psychiatric Association's Diagnostic and Statistical Manual? Are we, as believers, equipped to answer the big questions of psychology: Who are we? Why do we do the things we do? How do we change? This year's annual conference is designed to equip all believers to address these paramount issues with wise, Gospel-oriented, biblical precision.

DAY ONE:  Thursday has been dedicated to address the mounting issue of homosexuality and the church.  Are these feelings simply a choice?  Does the Bible speak to the struggle of homosexuality?  Is the biblical resolution to homosexual temptation found in heterosexual orientation?  In an age when homosexuality is becoming more and more accepted as a norm, how is the church to respond?  Dr. David Powlison, Dr. Paul Tripp, Sam Allberry, and Tim Challies will outline a robust biblical worldview to assist counselors, pastors, and all Christians to wisely navigate this ever increasing and profoundly sensitive topic.

DAY TWO:  Friday broaden's our scope of study by examining the grand themes of psychology and the church.  Who are we?  Why do people behave the way they do?  How do we change?  Is the Bible relevant to the deeper issues of psychology?  These questions and more will be exmined in light of sacred Scripture.  Dr. David Powlison, Dr. Eric Johnson, Dr. Paul Tripp, and Dr. Jeremy Lelek will be the featured plenary speakers for this day.  Break-Out Sessions will also be offered to dig deeper into the practical application of Scripture to specific issues.

DAY THREE:  Day three will hone in on applying a biblical worldview to actual components of psychology.  Dr. David Powlison and Dr. John Henderson will walk us through a biblical understanding of specific therapies as well as a biblical conceptualization of counselor.  Is counseling exclusive to the professional or does the Bible provide and alternative?  Break-Out sessions will also be offered to dig deeper into the practical application of Scripture to specific issues.
